I know, camping may well be the furthest thing on your mind on this very cold, dark winters’ morning. Bear with me. Picture this… warm hazy nights cuddling under canvas, the warm glow of campfires and rosy cheeks from a day exploring the Wales Coast Path and beaches of the magnificent Glamorgan Heritage Coast. Sausages and bacon from the local farmer sizzling away on the BBQ, and not a TV not a laptop in sight… Sounds good doesn’t it.
And the great news is that our campsites will be opening again, so if you missed your chance last summer to camp here, fear not my friends, our campsites are gearing up to welcome you and your friends again this summer. Of the five sites that tested the waters in trialling a campsite last year, all have indicated that they want to welcome you again this summer.
And one site has already secured planning permission to open permanently. Glyn & Philippa at the Glamorgan Heritage Coast Campsite in Monknash will be working their little socks off to get their site ready this season. All the campsites are getting together very soon to chat about the future of ‘The Perfect Pitch’. Whatever the outcome, we’ll let you know.
